FAQs
Is your jewelry really handmade?
1
Yes — every piece is fabricated by hand in my Seattle studio, with the exception of linked chains, unless specifically noted. I work from raw sterling sheet and wire, cutting, forming, soldering, and finishing each piece myself. Nothing is cast from a mold or outsourced.
What kind of silver do you use?
2
Sterling silver, .925. I buy raw sheet and wire and build each piece from there. Purchased chains and findings are also sterling silver.
What makes you different?
3
Yes. I work with natural stones — pearls, larimar, malachite, lapis, kyanite, black lip mussel, agate, and others as they come to me. When a stone is dyed, I say so in the listing. I source from established suppliers I trust, but I don't make specific origin claims I can't verify.
How do I find my ring size?
4
The most reliable way is to visit a local jeweler and have your finger sized — most will do it for free. If that's not an option, you can order an inexpensive ring sizer online, or measure a ring you already wear (inside diameter in millimeters) and email me — I'll convert it.
A note on fit: knuckles, temperature, and time of day all change finger size. If you're between sizes, I'd suggest sizing up.
Can I request a custom piece?
5
Yes, within reason. I take on a limited number of commissions and they tend to grow out of pieces I already make — a different stone, a different length, a variation on a form. Email me with what you have in mind and I'll let you know if it's something I can do, what it would cost, and how long it would take. Custom pieces are final sale.
How do I care for my piece?
6
For sterling: store it dry and away from air when you're not wearing it — a small zip bag works well. A polishing cloth brings back shine when it dulls. Avoid wearing silver in pools, hot tubs, or the shower; chlorine and prolonged moisture are hard on it.
For pieces with pearls or softer stones (larimar, malachite, lapis): put them on after lotion, perfume, and hairspray, not before. Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wearing. Don't use silver dip or polishing cloths directly on stones or pearls.
How long until my order ships?
7
Most ready-to-ship pieces go out within 3–5 business days. If something is made to order or sized to you, I'll let you know the timeline when you order — usually 1–3 weeks. You'll get tracking when it ships.
